Baltimore Boy Makes Gooder, Hopefully…

Baltimore’s favorite ex-patriot (at least this Baltimorean), Chicago resident and This American Life legend, Ira Glass is going Hollywood and producing Unaccompanied Minors, a comedy written by Mya Stark, based on Susan Burton’s (listen to the original radio broadcast from January 6, 2001, In The Event of An Emergency, Put Your Sister in an Upright Position. Exactly 21 minutes and 27 seconds into the show) experience as a little girl stranded at O’Hare Airport “along with a lot of other kids from divorced families who spent the holidays flying from one parent to the other.” [via Done Deal]

I’m really hoping this film venture is wildly successful and Mr. Glass becomes a bazillionaire. Then, maybe he can stop guilt tripping us cheapskate TAL listeners for not forking out the cash (I pay for the tickets when he makes speaking engagements and when TAL goes on tour, so I’m not a total cheap bastard).
