A. Aubrey Bodine Wannabe Photos

As I whined yesterday, I wasn’t able to attend the Monument lighting ceremony. I did walk down hours later to try to take a few shots. Unfortunately, my battery pooped out after six or seven pictures. These are the ones that came out.

Typically, I avoid taking photos of the Washington Monument. A Aubrey Bodine wrote the book on Monument photos over 50 years ago, and he will never be improved upon. Also, the Monument is second only to inner harbor as most overshot Baltimore landmark. But, it is pretty when they light it up, and I thought it was a fitting way to open up the holiday season.

If I ever post photos of the inner harbor, please kill me.

The final unrelated picture was taken outside my window 20 minutes ago to signify “oh crap it’s winter again.”
