I’ve decided to make today’s post as trivial as humanly possible.

And what better to do that than to report on my own previous evening’s television viewing choice. Generally, I was channel surfing, but kept finding myself drawn back to UPN’s ‘America’s Next Top Model’, and watched the last fifteen minutes in it's entirety.

These are the three contestants that I found the most interesting:

Adrianne:

She has an undeniable ‘Tank Girl’ quality. I have no doubt that she could kick my ass, and would not hesitate if I gave her good reason. I find that compelling. Also, she owns a pet snake and dragged herself from the Emergency Room with a nasty bout of food poisoning to attend the cut process at the end of the episode. In a word, she’s got Moxie!

Robin:

I don’t really like her. She fancies herself a Christian, and smugly enjoys throwing Bible verses in the face of Elyse (a self described Atheist) to let her know that she is a damned soul. I do not find that very Christian of her. Tyra Banks doesn’t like her either, and keeps warning her to “not be a Diva” in the bad way.

Elyse:

She is quite a smarty pants, earned double degrees in 3 years, and quotes Perutz on her profile page. She does not want to be a model, she want to enter medical school, which causes resentment between her and the other contestants. The others say that she isn’t serious enough about modeling. I suspect what they really dislike about her is her size 2 smarty pants.
