Vote for your favorite new headmast
September 12, 2004
Help me pick my new headmast. I had a few hours free today and I went a little crazy.
Eventually, I'll figure out the script I need to make these images rotate everytime you hit the Return key. But until that time, I would like your imput to help me decide which headmast will stay in the top right corner.
If you have any ideas for new ones, let me know. But for the love of God, please no crab or hon references. Please be creative.
1) The origional.

2) The current.

3) The johnny eck.

4) The david hasselhoff.

5) The sisqo.

6) The philip glass.

7) The hannibal lecter.

8) The cab calloway.

9) The frank zappa.

10) The john wilkes booth.

I vote for Hasslehoff, Glass or Booth.

That's why you're my favorite "Baltimore" blogger. Your baltimoreness kicks my baltimoreness' arse!
Posted by: eebmore at September 13, 2004 05:40 PMDefinitely Hasselhoff. I never really understood his power until I saw him on german TV one night unable to speak a single word in german and having the crowd still go absolutely nuts for him. He should be first king of the world.
Posted by: dabrettman at September 14, 2004 12:07 PMmike wolf,
thats what I want to do. Unfortunatly, I'm an html and javascript retard. If only someone more profecient at this sort of stuff could help me out (beating you over the head with a hint stick). Perhaps I could treat you to lunch at Kiss Cafe?
Posted by: eebmore at September 14, 2004 01:48 PMhehehe maybee this could be arranged
Posted by: mike wolf at September 15, 2004 02:32 PMAww shucks.
Some folks might take that as an insult but I wear that badge with honor.
Many thanks!
Posted by: eXtra heavy at September 15, 2004 03:00 PMA late vote, but I'd have to also say that it would be worth figuring out how to rotate them. Especially since you've already gone through the work of creating them!
Posted by: seadragon at September 15, 2004 03:52 PMOMG! I got it right on the first try.

Posted by: jay at September 16, 2004 01:28 AMjay,
hmmmm. Well, first of all, NOBODY has ever asked me about techie advice before. As I've admitted many times before, I'm a tech retard.
With that said, here is my advice on the whole pc/mac thing.
1) with a pc, you can get 3 times the computer for the same price of a mac. I'm all about the free market, I'm a capitalist, Steve Jobs is apparantly not. Since there is no competition for mac operating systems, mac effectively fixes the price for macs and you have to pay whatever mac inc. has decided you have to pay whatever they've decided you're willing to pay for your computer. ps's price is determined by the free market.
2)virus's. mac rocks when it comes to virus's. every slack jawed ass who has remedial knowledge of code can get hold of a virus, change the code slightly, and have a horribly destructive virus causing havic for half a day or so before somebody at pc central has to write some code to protect your computer from it. If you don't download the "updates" from windows or whatever virus protection program you use, literally every single day or even more often, you're vulnerable. you have to understand, I'm a techie retard. I'm sure many pc techie geniouses know how to avoid that nonsence. But, for retards like me, macs are the way to go in that respect.
3) Operating systems. Many many many people have told me that os x is an "easier" system to understand than windows. I don't see it. Os x feels like a glorified calculator to me. Granted, I don't understand os x and I had a fairly strong remedial knowledge of windows. If you're comfortable with windows, os X will annoy the hell out of you.
4) macs are much cooler than pc's, which for me is a minus. I fucking hate cool/marketing/packedging (excuse my spelling. I'm drunk right now). Fuck packiging, functionality is all that is important.
5)people used to say that macs where better for graphics etc. No more. When it comes to graphics etc., pc's today are just as good. Don't believe the hype.
6) Basically I'm saying keep with pc's and for the love of God keep up with your updates. If you can't keep up with your updates, get a mac.
Posted by: eebmore at September 16, 2004 03:13 AMbut they're all so funny, how can you possibly ask me to pick just one?? it's too much pressure. i can't do it.
Posted by: nm at September 16, 2004 04:09 PMno worries, nm. I already figured out the java to make it rotate in the top right corner.
Posted by: eebmore at September 16, 2004 09:14 PMI vote for the trade capital of the world,
