On December 16, 2004, Seadragon was the first to breach the subject of Dooce’s deranged commenters. Last week, Seadragon got all scrappy on my ass for being critical of Dooce for this, but that is a different matter.

Anyway, on December 16, 2004 I left this comment on Seadragon’s post on the subject of Dooce’s deranged commenters (and yes, my spelling sucks):

“OMG! The other day I was about to post this very entry. After I read the first sentence, I knew you were talking about doose. No disrespect towards her sight or the photographs, which often are quite good, but she could post a pick of a brick wall and get 300 comments in less than an hour.”

So I stand corrected. There are so far only 249 comments. My hubris overstated her popularity by 51 comments.
