Yes, any idiot can write and publish a wikipedia article. I still think it is pretty hilarious that eebmore is being considered by anyone as a reliable source of information about anything.

Months ago, I wrote this post about Joseph Steffen and the O’Malley/Baderinwa extramarital affair rumors. Ever since, I’ve been inundated with an endless volley of search engine hits from people trying to sniff out more dirt on the story.

Usually, this is pretty damned irritating, but it does have it’s plus sides. I can predict when the MSM is going to report, or O’Malley himself is about to make a public declaration that the Ehrlich camp is still actively engaged in spreading rumors about his infidelity, based on the amount of “Baderinwa is a tramp” or “O’Malley is a miscegenator” sort of traffic I receive in any given week.

In the past couple of days, I’ve started to receive hits from a new source, Wikipedia. I followed the trail back to an article on Sade Baderinwa. It had your standard sort of biographical information, as well as a paragraph about the “unfounded” rumors, with eebmore listed as the external link of authority on the Martin O'Malley/Sade Baderinwa debacle.

Authority indeed. Let’s just hope these rumor sniffers hit the Main Page link and get a nice gaping eye full of the inside of my armpit.

I wonder if the day will ever come that wikipedia becomes so huge and unwieldy that I can type in my name, find a picture of me from my high school yearbook, and a listing of my ex-girlfriends and all my character weaknesses?

I appears that whoever wrote the wikipedia article had a change of heart and edited out all references to the rumor.

Oh well. I guess my tenure as a reliable source of information was short lived. I suppose that's for the best.
