For future reference people, I am not a friend to any of you, not that many of you are under the impression that we are friends. If I read you, it is because I like your material. If I go to the trouble of mocking you, it is probably because there is something in your material that I like. That is not to say that I think you are perfect. I’m not perfect. I often suck. My material usually sucks. Your material sometimes sucks.

I know I have the habit of bringing up the way I was raised way way too often here, but I’m going to do it again anyway. When we were children, if we ever made the mistake of taking ourselves too seriously, my parents would mock us. They did not do it out of cruelty, they did it to teach us what they thought was an important lesson. Taking yourself too seriously can be awfully insufferable and has the unfortunate side effect of burying all of your more positive character traits.

EVERYONE can do it sometimes, EVERYONE should do it less.

You may disagree with this and think that you are always doing people a favor by building them up and telling them how great they are. I think that’s nonsense.

And yes, I’m being a total pussy for deleting material. So sue me.
