Hey, I know that guy. The good and the bad.

Two former acquaintances received ink media yesterday.
The good:
Kathleen and Chris; check it out. Lennie Cuje got his very own multimedia interactive feature in the Washington Post yesterday.Washington Post interactive.
Washington Post Live discussion transcript.
The Bad:
Ahem; check it out. One of us finally made the Metro Digest (I’ll quote the blurb, as I can’t link directly to the significant section).A driver accused of striking and killing a pedestrian while trying to elude police pleaded guilty yesterday in Baltimore Circuit Court to automobile manslaughter.
Under a plea agreement, Bradford Mulcahy, 25, of the 1000 block of Valewood Road in Baltimore County will be sentenced to four years in prison in October. On Feb. 15, Mulcahy struck and killed Stephen Cage, 46, while driving the wrong way in the 1500 block of W. Baltimore St.
Baltimore police had been trying to stop Mulcahy for a possible narcotics violation. After striking Cage, Mulcahy continued driving for three blocks, hit a building and ran away, police said. He was arrested after a foot chase.
That wacky coworker was always getting into trouble.
Do you know Brad? If so, I'd like to send him a dozen rozes. If the guy he smashed with a car is the person I am thinking of, then he did myself and many other women a huge favor. Can you say stalker? The Baltimore judicial system knows the man well, trust me.
Posted by: Cham at August 19, 2005 09:15 AMWow. That is some uuuugly sentiment. And I felt a little bad for making light of the situation. I can’t find any relevant information on the net to back this up, but if I remember this correctly from the reports at the time, I think the victim was a tourist, although I’m not completely sure about this (although I can’t imagine what a tourist was doing at the 1500 block of w. baltimore). Perhaps it was not that same fellow as your stalker whom you hope is dead.
On the night in question, my co-w’s and I were talking. “Did you see the news? Some junkie ass-hole fled from police and ran over a guy. Does anyone know where Brad is? That f*cker is late.” Someone who knew the correlation replied, “Um, yeah. You guys are talking about him.”
Posted by: eebmore at August 19, 2005 10:29 AMHon, if this person is the person I am thinking of, then I know exactly what he was doing on the 1500 block of Baltimore Street. That area sells what he needs.
Ugly sentiment or not, at least I don't have to go to court with this man to get anymore ROs, nor does any of the many other women who have had to do this. The person I am thinking about was a real menace.
Self-cleaning oven, baby.
Posted by: Cham at August 19, 2005 11:07 AMFair enough. Not that I would wish death-by-chrysler on anyone, but if it is the same guy, it's good to know that a hardworking father of three deacon type wasn't the victim.
