I’ve been geeking it up all morning and have been reading really detailed accounts and summaries of the relationship between the Wampanoag bands and the first European New Englanders... ya know, because tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I’m a big loser and all. I almost wrote about some of what I read, before I caught myself and realized how lame that would be to read.

Anyway, I’ve been negligent here and will probably continue to be until at least monday. So whatever your family’s tradition is for this extended weekend; eating turkey, selling a savage into slavery, or decapitating him/her and sticking his/her head on a stake as a warning to protect your religious colony, wailing at the loss of your culture from disease, famine and colonial exploitation, hugging grandkids, scalping white people and stealing their children, watching football, opening a casino and taking back what is rightfully yours one blackjack hand at a time, breaking treaties, just wasting away on a barren reservation in a drunken stooper and sponging off of a welfare state, or just watching some cheesy-ass insulting and infantilizing Kevin Costner movie where he sticks his fingers on his head and says “Ta-Tonka” over and over again... remember to have fun and drive safe.
