Post Thanksgiving Rhetorical Question

November 29, 2005

I’ve got nothing against the hunters. In fact if you’re a deer hunter and have some extra venison, let me know. I looooove venison.

But, I have a question. When turkey hunters pose with their kill, why do they invariably pose with their dead bird as if they are, ahem, doing something behind the turkey that the Bible explicitly tells you NOT to do?

I'm not sure whether he is having unnatural relations with the turkey, but it looks like he is one slip of the hand away from blowing the back of his head off. I've always been a fan of natural selection.

It's the show the plumage of the bird. It doesn't make sense to have the bird laying like that with them standing in front of it, now does it?

And not all the photos on that site feature the hunters directly behind the bird - in fact, a good amount don't.

anonymous: Ya don't say? I would never have guessed that is why are fanning the birds tail feathers out. good job identifying sarcasm.
