Claims Will Blow Up in Face
December 05, 2005
Finally. Sheesh. I’ve been waiting literally years for Tom Warner and/or Scott Huffines to get around to digitizing and uploading clips from Atomic TV.
Apparently, the original tapes are being digitized and converted to DVD, with a Christmas special to be released on December 9th. I’m assuming the DVD will be sold at Atomic Books (in store and online order?), although I really don’t know.
I came across this over at the Mobtown Shank, with instructions as to how to view the clips via a Vodcast feed on iTunes. I followed the instructions, and only got an audio. I updated my iTunes and Quicktime, and still only got an audio. Whatever. I hate that iBullshit anyway. If you go to the Atomic TV homepage you can see the mp4 files, which seem to work perfectly well for me.
Here are a couple of awesome clips. The first is an early sixties ad campaign from National Bohemian, with this clip featuring an animated Cæcilius Calvert and Mr. Boh dancing around the Chesapeake, circa 1670, extolling in song National Beer with a terrapin and racially offensive pelican. The second is from the classic “Underdog Battles Satan Claus.”
