For deliriously boring and abnormally anal formatting reasons, I decided last week to clean up and rebuild the html in my archives, post by post. I thought I could get it done over the weekend. Oh, boy, was I wrong. Even with my sporadic and sometimes lazy posting habits, it is a daunting task. In retrospect, I should never have started this. It is simply not worth the trouble. But, I’m nearly halfway finished, so I might as well finish it. If my posting is light this week, it is a combination of the task at hand and the resulting lack of web reading.

Also, I’m vaguely (although I have not made any decisions) considering moving this page out of baltiblogs. I have been incredibly happy with the baltiblogs ever since I joined, and actually still am. But, I feel the nature of my content is certainly not what the founders of terrablogs had in mind when they started this service, and I constantly worry that my tendency towards what many may consider to be vulgar humor may make the administrators uncomfortable. Terrablogs has recently begun advertising to augment the costs, which I think is fantastic and a smart move on their part. Unfortunately, I doubt that many of the advertisers and their ads, many of which include the words “ministry” “prayer” and other such language, would be thrilled with what I choose to write. This may, in part, explain their new “terms of service” agreement attached to all terrablogs, excluding, among other reasonable things, “vulgar” or “obscene” content. I am not sure if my content falls under either of these two categories. I certainly do not consider my humor vulgar, but I can understand how others’ may, and do not want to change the nature of my content.

I am curious though, if any of you massive IT dorks savvy internet technology geniuses who host your own sites using either movable type or wordpress would be interested in hosting a secondary subdomain? For instance, if you have a site named “hassexwithdonkeys.com” would you be interested in hosting a subdomain named “eebmore.hassexwithdonkeys.com”??? I really really hate the idea of dealing with my own domain and all that entails. I hate back-end stuff, but like to goof around with my own templates and design. I do not particularly care what my url is, so being on a subdomain would be my primary preference. Also, I’m not at all opposed to sending a little “$$” your way, but I’m drawing the line at “ahem” favors. I’m never doing that for tech help again. The memories are too painful.
