Kind of in Vernon Robinson’s defense (but kind of not), he is black. Truth be told, I think he is just some bizarre unelectable enigma; a black folk hating african-american wingnut conservative pandering to white folk black folk hating - supported by a handful of loonies because by association they can pretend they are not racist for hating the coloreds, because they found a black man who is even crazier than they are. He has been quoted saying "Jesse Helms is back! And this time, he's black." He’s more of a comic figure than anything else, and his ads just reinforce this fact. and yes, i said “fact.”

and he is probably gay too. ;)
