Duncan Drops Out of Race

June 22, 2006

Citing depression?! Does anyone other than myself suspect “depression” is just politician talk for photographs surfacing involving nudity and Jack Abramoff and/or teenage boys, or something else equally sorted sordid*?

[via baltimorecrime]

*I just received an email by a certain person who gave me life mocking my sorry ass familiarity with the english language. She can’t be bothered to tell me if she made up that crap about my supposed baptism, but she can can still correct my english? Yes, yes, “sordid” is the correct word. I’m a dumb ass.

Maybe not lude photographs with teenmales, but perhaps a movie with Paris Hilton? Emotional break downs are a bitch.

o'malley got some dirt on him and made him an offer he couldn't refuse. imho.

ah ha! i figured it out. all this time we thought o'malley was sade baderinwa's child's father, when dunken was actually the father. next week on Maury!

oh, wait. that was all a pile of bullshit.

but in all seriousness, we all know the maryland DNC is run like the national GOP. primaries are decided, not by elections, but in the head office where it is decided who gets the money. the primary election was set to do some serious damage to whoever got the dem ticket. phone calls were made, thumbs were screwed, and "depression" is a giant pile of poo. Not altogether unlike when O’Malley was set to try to run against KennedyTownsend, and the Maryland DNC had Bill Clinton call O’Malley and told him to wait until 2006. God forbid the MD DNC figure out Kennedys can only get elected in MA and RI.

And look what a good idea that was.

Posted by: tfg at June 24, 2006 07:44 PM

tfg, exactly. it was during the prior gubernatorial race that i got the impression that O'Malley might actually be smart. time after time, O'malley came out and stated that Kennedy Townsend was completely unelectable; but the MD DNC in their infinite wisdom told him to shut up and guaranteed that the GOP would win the governor's seat for the first time since spiro agnew. how many times now have kennedys run for public office in this state and lost now? four? five? maryland is not new england south. hopefully, the MD DNC has figured that out by now.
