Woo-Hoo. I would have used an exclamation point, but after pulling fourteen, full-on, often thirteen hour days, I’m just too damn tired. Fuck, I haven’t worked that hard since that summer stint in an Alaskan cannery in college, and I quit that after a couple of weeks. It’s back to the salt mines for me tomorrow morning for a fourteen or fifteen hour day, and I won’t see another day off for at least a week, so today is only a brief and unbelievably welcome respite.

Of course, I should have scheduled a dentist appointment to pull this tooth, but that’s just going to have to wait until things get back to normal. I can manage the pain with about twenty aspirin a day, and was not going to spend my one day off this month recovering from having a bone ripped out of the back of my face. All week long, my memory has been flashing back to the dentist chair I sat in when I was thirteen, while some ass-wipe spent 2 hours giving me a filling while telling me, the entire time, that he should be giving me a crown instead, as though he was doing me a favor. Twenty years later, and that gift is still giving. Thanks, pal.

Anyway, I have a HUGE day planned. Earlier, I sat on the couch all morning. It was glorious. This afternoon, I have another four hours of sitting on my ass on the itinerary. Tonight, I’ll be... well, you get the picture.
